If there are monsters in the water, so should be angels. She is the Blue Angel, who casts the lust of the sky with the water. Creates peace and harmony around herself. Loyal, friendly, just and purposeful. But beware, she can be cold and idealist, moreover strong and wants to reign too.The Blue Angel is the 1st piece in a series.

I am István Hangácsi, a 60 years old painter from Rimaszombat (Rimavská Sobota), Slovakia. I studied in Kassa (Kosice). The scent of turpentine and oil paint, the endlessness of the canvas enchanted me for a lifetime. The creation is not just a hobby, but a daily need for me. I found „my mentor” in the elder Károly Markó, a Hungarián painter from 19th century. I painted mainly landscapes, still life and portraits in the 80s and 90s. This was an intense creating period in my life, which was followed by a 10 years retirement from 2006. I replaced the brush with another important „love” with the video camera. It was a fertile and devoted work. It expanded the framework of my perceptions. It taught me to see the world with a different eye, the surroundings and the people, to examine continues movements and changes around me. In 2016, I joined to Aranymetszés Festőklub (Golden Section Painter Club) which was founded by my friend Barna Borbás, and a Hungarian painter István Cene Gál leads it. From this moment, I was enchanted once again by painting. This new start brought change of my style and technique, which resulted with their close connection in my art. My paintings express the joy, the game of light & shadow, the wonders of metal and glass, the endless versatility of water. I love the bright and happy colors. I pay attention to visualize the realistic and rich in details surroundings. I never counted how many paintings I made. I got only few at home, clients brought most of my art from Slovakia, Czechia, Hungary, Israel and Canada. Exhibitions, which I participated: 2018 & 2019: Jancsó Art Gallery, Budapest (Hungary) 2018 & 2018: Gallery Ganeiva & Csillagház, Rimaszombat (Rimavská Sobota), Slovakia 2019: Letný Art Mix (Summer Art Mix), Pozsony (Bratislava), Slovakia 2019: Eger (Hungary) 2020: Výtvarné spektrum 2020, travelling exhibition in Slovakia In 2020, my big dream came true: I organized my first exhibition, which was also a gift for myself on my 60th birthday. My paintings show that how much beauty surrounds us in this rushing world. I can show the wonders on showcase glass, on parking car windows or on a surface of a puddle after rain.
