Oscar Danilo Vargas studied in the Arts Faculty of the University of Cauca, in Popayán (Colombia, 1993–1995) and at the National University of Colombia, in Bogotá (1995–2001). He has had five individual exhibitions in Bogotá, and Cali, all in Colombia (2001–2007), and has participated in nearly two dozen group exhibitions in Canada, Colombia, France, Mexico, Spain, and the United States. He has received a number of awards at local competitions in Colombia (1998–present), including First Prize at the Regional Salon for Colombian Artists of the Center West Region (2003). Presently he lives in Montreal, Qc, Canada
