So, this is my first experience with an artist block. Earlier I was surviving just by my art and living all by myself for quite a long time and suddenly one day my parents returned home, who believe in my craft and are fabulous individuals, but Mom is skeptical about how am I going to survive on art. Her lack of faith in me shakes my faith in myself as an artist. And art is about believing in you and your art. She definitely thinks I am doing some shady job hahaha. My father who is an artistic person and knows firsthand how difficult it is in the initial stage to survive, wants me to move out of the home with my machine which is 5x3 feet to any place but home. But I had a wall torn down in my home to create space for my machine. Sadly, since then the guy who was supposed to make the machine for me is delaying the delivery of the machine. All of this led me to create this print called “A BEAUTIFUL DARK PLACE” even when life gives you lemons, it’s beautiful, you just have to see it that way and art will happen and once you keep on working everything else fades out. This is an original hand-pulled forexcut print, not a digital print. The artwork is created on Canson 300 gsm paper and involves 13 layers using a reduction print technique. The edition is 1 out of 1. Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions regarding this work. Thank you. 🌹

Sukraat's journey in art has been nothing short of magical, starting right from his humble abode . From being surrounded by creative individuals to being one of them. He is a true eclectic soul, with an insatiable passion for music, art, and photography. His wandering soul takes him on journeys of the mind and heart, and dreams are his constant muse. He began his artistic journey with a formal education in painting (BFA). But as he continued to explore various mediums and techniques, printmaking captured his heart and imagination like nothing else. He has spent a decade carving his way through the world of art and has channeled his experiences into developing various printmaking techniques. These techniques enable him to express his deepest thoughts, feelings, and emotions through layers upon layers of colors and textures. His work is a visual representation of his dreams. Every stroke of his brush or every mark of his printmaking tools tells a poetic story. The titles of his artworks are just as inspiring and personal as his viewers are drawn into his world and resonate with his vision. Although his studio is based in Mumbai, he is a wanderer at heart. He packs up his art supplies and sets off to different parts of India, immersing himself in the local culture and gaining fresh perspectives that fuel his craft. It is no surprise that his work is admired and collected by art enthusiasts from around the world.
