ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I did this painting when I discovered I had Type 2 Diabetes. Although I live with it now ok, when I was first diagnosed it was quite a shock. Especially when you look at the worst case scenario of what can happen. It was my first real time I thought of my own mortality. I paint in this raw, primitive style to capture the innocence of how the child in us feels.
