Polaroid Painting

The upcycling works aim to contribute to reflecting on the sustainable use of finite resources and our ecological footprint. With open eyes, I find the carelessly discarded painting surfaces, for example, as driftwood in the Aare, during total renovations in Bern, while hiking in the mountains, or traveling to my old homeland, as well as while exploring East German industrial ruins or vacant buildings. In addition to the ecological context, I am also interested in the location of the finds, the history of the unique pieces, and the fascinating different material surfaces. Each piece is hand-painted and illustrated using brush, ink, and deep black acrylic paint. Made in Bern.
