Maria Sabetti was born in Naples IN 1964,She is A complete artist and goes from engraving to ceramic sculptures from videos to paintings. Her art and her creations take life in her laboratory near Naples in Bagnoli,close to the sea and to the Nisida island, here Maria founded her brand MASA, standing for her artistic dimension from her childhood, from the deep colours of her country, but above all from her studies and her artistic background. She began to love art and painting since she was very young. So she start to represent on her paintings her own introspective views on the human behaviour and on the soul moods. In 1999 she tooks part to "Percezioni" contest in Campania during which she won the first price. She took her degree to the Accademia di belle arti in Naples and there her wish of testing new expressive forms grows and she makes her own the instruments of the video: so she produces the short "Intromissioni"and takes part to the VII edition of the Troisi prize where she was selected among the finalists. The artistic path of Maria Sabetti is signed by the engraving tecnique that becomes a new ground to test and to express herself, the etching, the drypoint, the black way and the xilography soon become the instruments with whitch she symbolize her own mood and she tells her fantastic world. She takes part to graving collectives in different italian cities among whitch Scafati,Urbino,San Giorgio a Cremano,Naples , the accademia di belle arti with her private exibition indicembre 2003. Together with the interest for the artistic comunication,she grows as a self thought person also the love for the ceramic creations succeding in obtaining a rigth sintesys between the art and the handcraft. Remarkable are the ceramic objects made hand decorates that are part of the "Era" and Troni" collections.
