Heather Hailstones (b. 1990) is an American artist born and raised in Florida. She is a self-taught artist who began painting in 2017 as a form of therapy for stress and anxiety. Painting quickly grew from a hobby to a serious passion and she began selling and exhibiting her work in 2019. She specializes in acrylic and mixed media abstract expressionist paintings, also dabbling in found object and collage art. Drawing inspiration from artists like Frank Bowling, Helen Frankenthaler and Grace Hartigan, she uses gestural and action painting techniques and a lot of color. After losing her job during the 2020 pandemic, she took the opportunity to turn a side job into a full-time career as an artist. Her art has been featured in several galleries and she has an ongoing partnership with Untitled Art Brewing, creating unique abstract artwork for their limited edition beer cans.
