ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The contrast of gold leaf on a dark teal has always appealed to me, I had a vision of rain falling on a wet street when creating this but now when looking at it I see sunlight on the darkest part of the ocean and waves crashing up to the shore. I created the textured waves with a palette knife and used gold leaf for the sunlight. Finished with a high gloss varnish and the title and date on the back.
