ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was created during the frustration of the first lockdown in 2020, i was trying to keep calm amidst the frenzy, fear, the unknowns. To stay vertical, strong and connect with my spiritual self, while all the time I wanted to scream and fight and kick to get out of a locked in situation. Trying hard to stay philosophical, spiritual, centred and aligned, when all around me was collapsing into fear… The title of the work ‘And this too shall pass’ is a Buddhist phrase, used in meditation pointing out the impermanence of life and all things. My inner practice and outer artistic expression definately helped me get through this and more.
