View In My Room
My work is inspired by the need to expand what the human eye allows us to see when we walk down the street or when we inhabit our own private space. To see is not really to see. To see is to be able to alter the limitations of the minds visual capacity and by doing so allows the viewer to understand and appreciate the subtle nuances (both harsh and wonderful) of everyday life. I hope with all my work that the viewer sees what they have missed. Photograph of the sunset from Sunbird Lodge in Nairobi, Kenya. A large mountain (the sleeping warrior) sits to the east of the lodge that appears to be acting as both protector and monument. As the sun left the sky to dream so did the warrior lay down for the evening.

My work is inspired by my travels and experiences from around the globe and the challenges faced in attempting to share what can only be seen and appreciated with an open mind and a camera. As an example, with the camera, and it's recorded images, I provide evidence of the unforgettable strength and partnership of a Paris street and the trees that adjust their science to float in space. I document the beauty of Bangkok and the melancholy of an African sunset off the island of Lamu. You will see in my gallery the strange chameleon-like abilities of New York City and the weightlessness of its inhabitants. With these and more, my goal is to show you the evidence of what I have seen and to let you be the judge if I am a madman.
