ABOUT THE ARTWORK
After weeks in lockdown, I was finally able to explore the Yorkshire countryside. I love to travel and have been travelling around the world for 7 years. The current situation changed all of this. So this piece is kind of my version of the first day of freedom. I I headed to a beautiful village called Hathersage and hiked uphill to Higger Tor from where I had this breathtaking landscape view of the Peak District. The Peak District is an upland area in England at the southern end of the Pennines. You can do some amazing hikes from there. I painted this scene on a set of three nest of tables and photographed my work afterwards for this print.
