Black, White and Gold. Painting

My work is a construction as well as a research of the expressive possibilities behind my process as an abstract artist. As such, they function as the premises of my production: Experimentation, observation, comprehension and registering, being this last instance when an artwork acquires a purpose which can be defined as “utilitarian” because it generates a feeling or particular sensation within the composition. Content is approach as a personal expressive search, freely from the geometric to the lyric. The totality of my work simulates the construction of a language that mutates its calligraphy and amplifies its vocabulary by means of incorporating, subtracting and/or repeating elements. Abstract painting is a technique dependent on the mind and at the same time subject to a necessity to comprehend body and emotion; for this reason, my work is influenced by the complexity of mental processes in relation with the structures we understand as intuition, automatism, certainty, analysis and deconstruction of external stimuli, because of its capacity to express a spirituality devoid of any mysticism. My artwork acts as a correlation between the cathartic and the homeostatic, unchained in a mechanic dance; where form, color, and space, are the triptych that dictates the compositions expressed through a language which vocabulary weaves its own history.
