ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is an extreme closeup rendition of my high school senior year yearbook portrait from 1996. It was painted by pushing oil paint through an airbrush, which is a clumsy and awkward use of the medium. The face has the sort of threatening look of a troubled youth trying to make it through some hard teen years.
