ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Using a split-complimentary colour palette consisting of green, violet and orange, I was inspired by the large size of the canvas to paint with broad gestural movements. I love to use acrylic paint because of its fast drying properties and also, as I paint with my hands a lot, it feels like being a kid again. Messy hands! I love it. I want viewers to feel that moment in the changing of the seasons. When summer heat starts to wane and the autumnal colours are peeking from the trees.
