ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Taken in the Nambung National Park, just north of Perth in Western Australia. This was one of those shots where everything seemed to naturally fall into place. The sand whipping up on the horizon, the long shadow on the bush and the abstract simplicity of the scene. I like the fact that there is very little context in the image, so it opens it out to our imagination. How can the bush survive in this environment? What is beyond the dunes, straight ahead? For me, there is both a clarity, simplicity and mystery which makes the shot work.
