ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The "Rosen Lunia" is the personification of the unity of the past and the present. Its purpose is to remind us how fast time flies and that history is cyclical. The original portrait of Lunia Czechovska was painted by the Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani in 1919. However, only through the gold earring picture teleports the viewer into today. This is because massive jewellery is the fashion trend of our century. The "Rosen Lunia" was painted in oil, and the earring was formed using a special plastic mass and gilding. This technique made it possible to accurately convey the rough texture of fashion jewellery.
