ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This original 6 1/2 by 9 foot work is painted in acrylic, stucco patch, and oil stain on canvas It was created directly after "The LINGAM and the YONI" and together the two works represent the most significant opus in the artist's early career. The LAPIS refer to a bowl of liquid which represents the seat of cosciousness. The LINGAM and the YONI refer to male and female.
