ABOUT THE ARTWORK
When I thought of creating this piece, I chose a peacock, as part of my idea was to use the feathers and spread them on the canvas to create a rich, decorative background. The bird's body, placed in the centre of the picture interacts with another central figure, depicting the gracefulness of the female body. The woman's pale, fair skin contrasts sharply with the bird's rich, colourful shades.
