Champ Bleu Painting

I follow a host of artist on various social platforms. All of them provide some form of inspiration in my work. While throughout my life I've been an artist in some form or another, abstract painting has really allowed me to express myself. I truly love the release afforded when I can just relax and paint. In my effort to fully involve myself in the process of creating the art, I also wanted to create the canvas. This is my first ever cradled canvas at 24"w x 48"h x 1.5"d. Once I have the canvas built I spend many hours prepping it to ensure that it is smooth and ready to receive the paint. I focus as much on the canvas as I do the actual art as to me it's all part of the creation of the piece. As such, I am now fully immersed in the creation of the full piece. That brings me much happiness.
