ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I´m making a large serie of pop art painting of famous and impressive Jazzmusicians. I allready make portraits of Chet Baker, Art Blakey, Thelinous Monk, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus., John Coltrane , Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gillespie., Toots Tielemans,Oscar Peterson and Count basie and now Louis Amstrong. I hope the viewers, like me, want to make a tribute to this faboules Jazzmusicians. I all paint then in a pop art style, because i like to work with contrasting colours . The paint i use is oil on canvas.
