The roundel chandelier was inspired by the amoeba shapes from mid-century modern design. It measures 37” long X 30” wide X 6” high, each of the hand blown glass roundel disks is approximately 4” in diameter. The glass roundels were blown in the 1950’s and bought from the estate of the artist to create this one of a kind chandelier. The wooden frame is meticulously crafted from mahogany. The amoeba shaped glass panel is made using leaded glass methods dating back hundreds of years. The chandelier is lit with 3 standard Edison light sockets using LED bulbs and capped with flat black wrought iron chain and ceiling canopy. Please be aware the chandelier is 80 lbs. + and should be installed by a licensed electrician

My artwork is fueled by my nostalgia for antique cars, car parts, and glass objects. That, along with my desire to repurpose items that would otherwise be tossed away or forgotten, is how I approach my work. Creative inspiration often comes from the play of light and it’s reflection and refraction through glass. I do my best to give new life and meaning to these antique and found glass objects; everything from eye glass lenses, head lights, cut crystal, and tableware. It is my joy and my passion… I am compelled to do this. Aside from creating glass art for over 35 years, I have also worked in stained glass studios in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Boston. I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to restore historic windows and Tiffany stained glass, as well as creating new commissions.
