ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Size: 46" W x 46" H (117 x 117 cm) I found a source of inspiration for this artwork in poetic images and symbols. The subtle meanings and rhymes in Baudelaire's poems inspired me to create something unusual and eye-catching. The image on the canvas cannot be interpreted literally. Broad black energetic strokes, blue and ocher accents against a light background imbibed Baudelaire's aesthetic. I tried to express on canvas the harmony of light, form, sound and smell, which is found in poems. This is how I translated verbal images into visual language. As a result of the creative process, I got a picture full of dynamics and symbols.
