ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In this art exhibition I am showing my series "HOPE?"(oil on canvas), which received the Brandenburg Art Prize at ART A10 on 22.10.2023. This series is the conclusion of my one-year multimedia work for the STATE OF THE EARTH PROJECT (29.08.-27.09.2023) at the MIDWAY GALLERY, USA. I was represented there with my installation "PARADISE". It consisted of 51 large-format graphics (pencil on paper) depicting various insects that have a pollination function. I then animated these hyper-realistic graphics in a 9-minute video with original music entitled "POLLINATORS"

Born in Lithuania, Violeta Vollmer-Dundulyte graduated in fine arts at the Estonian Academy of Arts and was set free by the end of Soviet dictatorship. In 1994 she moved to Germany and later lived and worked as a freelance artist in Buenos Aires, Argentina for eight years, and Windhoek, Namibia for three years before relocating to Germany in 2011.
