ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Hand painted sculpture made of maple plywood inspired by seaside amusement towns- the shapes and colors recalling rides, signage, prizes and other ephemera associated with these places. The series began as a Copenhagen based residency project that culminated with a sold out exhibition in San Francisco that was featured in Juxtapoz Magazine Both sides are painted so the piece can be displayed in the round (tabletop for example) or against a wall

William LaChance's works are in the permanent collections of The US Federal Reserve, Lambert St Louis International Airport, The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) and Nike Inc. William LaChance has been published in JUXTAPOZ Magazine, Architectural Digest, VOGUE, HYPEBEAST, ARTFORUM, ARTDESK and Le MILE. LaChance's mural adorning the Kinloch, MO basketball courts was recently named the best designed art court in the world by Architectural Digest and VOGUE Magazine
