ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The skull drawing emerged from multiple layers of oil paint scraped down over time. Text was used at some point throughout the creation which reads "One Day" and finally the skull image implanted on the surface.The text alludes to the feeling that we are all going to die at some point while the candy colors contrast the skull image and phrase. The painting references the pop art movement and abstract expressionism.
