This image was taken from the deck of an Irrawaddy river boat on the way to Began from Mandalay in Burma. In the early morning mist the landscapes look so etherial and insubstantial. This image comes from a series of photos taken while leading photography tours in the region. Its a colour digit file converted to sepia tones for an 19th Century feel. It is reproduced as an archival digital, limited edition print. Each limited edition artwork is hand printed using archival Epson inks via a glicee printing process. Signed and numbered by Gary Latham in pencil. For optimal quality the images are printed onto heavyweight semi-matte paper. Each print is placed between sheets of acid free tissue before being sent direct to you in a heavy duty cardboard tube.

He has also been a regular contributor to Food and Travel Magazine since 1997 and book publishers Hamlyn Books, Mitchell Beasley and Random House. Gary has also undertaken advertising commissions from international advertising agencies on projects for Rolls Royce, The Royal Mail, Transport for London and Fairmont Hotels. From 2012 to 2017, Gary led photography tours in Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand, combining his passion for travel with his commitment to helping others develop their photographic skills. Of his work, Gary says, "I see my work as being in the Romantic tradition. My work has been described as cinema-graphic, otherworldly and emotionally charged. For myself, I would say, I love to take pictures, I'm interested in people, culture, society and a sense of place. I travel a lot and I am a romantic of sorts. I was once described as having a 19th-century sensibility. Maybe that is because I like nostalgia, found things and a touch of fantasy. I aim to find magic in the everyday."
