ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This abstract watercolor is part of my "Spark" series. The painting is both soft and bold. To me, the rich red colors express excitement and passion, but the beauty of abstract work is that the viewer will come to their own conclusions. Spark No. 2 has been framed in a contemporary style- the painting on watercolor paper floats on a background the same shade of white as the paper giving the image room to breath. I allowed the torn paper edges to show. The white wood frame complements the piece and allows the dramatic colors to stand out.
