ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The model wears: 346x draped embroidered tulle tunic by Junya Watanabe Makeup: 500x smoothing effect eyeshadow Ombre Solo by Yves Saint Laurent This project presents a new way of looking at fashion photography, and also explores how we wear fashion. I ‘dressed’ the model in high fashion garments and ‘applied’ various cosmetics, which were magnified with a scanning electron microscope a hundred to two thousand times. The photographs reduce fashion to its physical core and show how we can be dressed in less than one millimeter of fabric and one milliliter of makeup – ultra economical, sustainable fashion!
