In Embrance Painting

I was born in 1980 in Levice, and from an early age, I was fascinated by art, especially painting. This passion led me to the Department of Fine Arts at FHV-UMB in Banská Bystrica, where I developed my skills and artistic perception. During my studies, I focused on installations, some of which were exhibited at the Tatra Gallery in Poprad. My main goal was to explore the connection between the physical and spiritual worlds through art, which became a fundamental pillar of my creative work. Over time, however, I discovered a passion for classical painting, occasionally enriched with abstract elements, adding a new dimension to my work. My art predominantly features figures and portraits, with the central motif often being a woman. She symbolizes youth, maturity, dreaminess, and provocation, often accompanied by serene light that adds an intimate dimension to the paintings. I draw inspiration from my personal life as well as societal themes, leading me to reflect on the position of women in today’s world. I primarily work with the technique of oil painting, which I perceive as both a relaxing activity and a challenge for continuous improvement. I combine realistic elements with abstraction and follow the trends in contemporary art, while still drawing inspiration from old masters. My goal is to find my own style that embodies peace, lightness, and positive energy, often accentuated by the dreamy expressions of the figures. Through my work, I strive not only to capture beauty and emotions but also to open new perspectives on reality. I believe that art has the power not only to reflect the world around us but also to transform it—through colors, composition, and the feelings it evokes within us.
