ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I collect bits and pieces of items (computers, peripherals, toys, electronics, packaging materials, etc.) that have broken, or become obsolete, or have simply been outgrown or discarded. Occasionally, I sift through this detritus, looking for patterns or pleasing juxtapositions. One particular packaging piece jostled a memory of watching Señor Wences and Pedro, his head in a box. I put a plastic handle on the piece, added some other bits (see below), painted some surfaces, and Bob's your uncle. S’Awright - Close the Door is an abstract composition featuring a three-dimensional arrangement of geometric shapes. The main elements include a white rectangular form resembling a box with a red handle. Inside, there is a collection of various items taken from an old, broken-down Speak ‘n Spell, including a large black circular piece, a yellow rectangular piece, and green grid-like structures intersecting each other. The arrangement is dynamic and colorful, creating a visually intriguing piece with a playful and modern aesthetic. Materials: Acrylic Paint, BIOS Chip, Toy Cassette Player Parts, Model Parts Tree, Styrofoam Packaging Insert

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Background: Born in Boston, raised in Canada, currently residing in Gatineau (Québec). If I had a philosophy of life, this is where I'd put it. Many years ago, I passed a homeless person wearing a t-shirt that shouted at me: "Life: A Brutal Interruption of a Blissful Non-Existence". What inspires me: • The land, the sea, the sky. • A feeling, a flash, a flicker. • A glint, a gleam, a glimmer, • A thrust, a thought, a trigger. • A memory, a taste, an odor.
