Abstract artist living and working in Lisbon and Sintra. I am mostly interested in painting as a way to convey sensations. The creative process is for me purely intuitive. The blank canvas is slowly filled in, back and forth, as if it was the act of verbally telling a story. The work starts timidly and unsurely, invariably in shades of blue, grey, and green, and starts affirming itself as it goes forward. Sometimes halfway through the work transforms itself, following paths that were completely unexpected at the beginning of the creative process. And then one day the painting gains autonomy and declares itself finished. I look at it and feel like it doesn't belong to me anymore, that the journey has ended.
