ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Oil and oil-wax pigment sticks on linen. This painting was made over an older painting. The older painting set the tone and is still a very prominent part of the painting, but the newer part was made in plein air so there is a merging of two different kinds of thinking. The painting was rolled and transported to the site on several occasions in September of 2016 and September of 2017. The margins of this painting are partly painted and not particularly intended for display since the final size of the image is based on development of the composition during the painting process.There is a minimum of 2" on all sides of the image for use as a stretching margin.
