ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Aphrodite Callipigia is a marble statue from Roman times, a copy of a bronze original of the Hellenistic period 3rd century BC. I incorporated the grain of the paper into this design, using only downward strokes to create a mood. I chose a blue background so that the white statue would stand out better. This is a charcoal, chalk and pastel drawing on white paper.

I'm an English artist living and working in Athens, Greece. I have been a creative person for as long as I can remember. For that reason, I have worked in many different styles over the years and used several different mediums to express myself. I'm always searching for new sources of inspiration.
