Painting and photography. Born in 1964, Bonn, Germany, now living near Frankfurt (Main). Working for GettyIamges as a (self-taught) photographer since years, I always aimed at taking and processing images in a way, that the observer is being animated to let oneself into the image for more than just a moment, to “feel” and to explore the image. More and more I felt that this intention may perhaps be implemented better in a painting. Thus I started experimenting with using paint and brushes rather than a camera. Some of the results are on display here in Saatchi Art. I am using 95% Schmincke finest artists' acrylic colours and ready made canvases.
