Alexander Levich's "Susanna and the Elders" is a striking modern interpretation of the well-known Biblical story, set against the backdrop of a serene beach scene. This oil on canvas artwork depicts an elder sitting on the sand, while Susanna, dressed in a light swimsuit, bends forward, seemingly lost in her own thoughts. The calm blue sky and gentle waves enhance the painting's tranquil mood. Levich's masterful use of brushstrokes and his skillful handling of light and shadow bring depth and realism to the scene. The warm, natural tones of the figures stand out against the cool, refreshing hues of the beach and sky, creating a visually appealing contrast. The attention to detail in the figures' postures and the subtle interplay of colors adds a layer of complexity to the narrative. Inspired by the themes of innocence and scrutiny from the Biblical tale of Susanna and the Elders, Levich reimagines the story in a contemporary setting. The beach, a symbol of both relaxation and exposure, serves as the perfect canvas for this modern retelling. The artist’s choice to bring an ancient story into a familiar, modern context invites viewers to reflect on its relevance today. "Susanna and the Elders" is an evocative addition to any art collection, offering a blend of classic narrative and contemporary art. Its compelling storytelling and aesthetic appeal make it a standout piece. Don’t miss the chance to add this unique work by Alexander Levich to your collection. Purchase "Susanna and the Elders" today and bring a piece of timeless storytelling into your space.

What is the most important thing in life? It's not the external surroundings but our inner world. Painting serves as the key that unlocks this realm. By following this path, one learns not just to look, but to truly SEE. Through my art, I delve into profound content. Painting becomes a medium of communication, a canvas for thoughts. The questions are always deeper than the answers, and the answers are discoveries we make within ourselves. My paintings serve as guides, leading you along the pathways of your own thoughts. I aim to offer you the joy of connecting with your inner world, the luxury of harmony and solitude in communication with yourself. I was born in 1963 in Kyiv, Ukraine, and in 1987, I graduated from the painting faculty of the Kyiv Art Academy, under the guidance of Professor A.M. Lopukhov. Since 1990, I have been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. As a professional artist with over 30 years of experience, my artistic journey can be divided into two main periods. The first period, which spanned over 20 years after my graduation, can be described as "Metarealism." The second period, which I refer to as my "return to realism," began around 2010, you may explore my artworks from both periods showcased here. If you would like to delve deeper into my portfolio, view additional paintings beyond those displayed on this website, or if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me directly via email at . You are also warmly welcome to visit my studio in Kyiv. Thank you sincerely for your interest.
