Hello! My name is Olesya Izmaylova, and I live and work in Finland. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I paint in my unique technique with acrylics and sometimes watercolor pencils on canvas and paper. The central character of many of my pieces is a cat, inspired by my own ginger 9-kilogram domestic companion - the personification of each of us, our inner worlds, sometimes more courageous, free and liberated. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, where clothing and footwear set the tone for each morning, my cat mirrors our aspiration to be vibrant, stylish, free, and sometimes tenderly vulnerable – regardless of the role we embrace on any given day.
