ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Chemise de Nuit" is part of my "Mechanical Botanical Series" of mixed media archival pigment prints on paper and canvas. This work is canvas on dimensional stretchers. The work consists of traditional media, such as graphite and acrylic, as well as scans of actual plant material and digital manipulation. The resulting creation, which is always a surprise, reminded me of a female figure in a night garment, hence the name "Chemise de Nuit".
