ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I live in a rural landscape with several cliff faces which bring rock climbers to the area. The painting depicts a climber on "Old Baldy" with the Beaver Valley in the distance. I used a photo, with permission, by Jesse Wong, a guidebook writer. It was an intriguing image and led to a series of painting.

He primarily creates intimate paintings in acrylic on canvas. He retired in 2014 after teaching art and music at the middle school level for over 25 years. He continues to teach art privately and on short contract through the White Hat Group.
