"Flowers on Emerald" Painting

Kate Carter lives in the countryside of Denbighshire Wales , Uk She began to paint after retiring from her work as an early years teacher, and once she started she couldn't stop. The flowers, stems and leaves she sees are her inspiration. IKate paints in inks, acrylic paints, and sometimes a mixture of both. Kate's style is varied, she may print with wildflowers and with her fingertips to create her "Fairy Pools" collection, paint detailed imagined gardens in which she uses both ends of her paint brushes to paint and to scratch into wet paint to create detail and texture. Kates has too much fun experimenting to limit her styles and techniques, but these are united by the use of hand painted mounts, producing a most unusual and eye catching effect.
