In the famous "I HAVE A DREAM" speech, Martin Luther King asked African Americans engaged in the fight for the recognition of civil rights for blacks, not to give in to violence and not to stoop to the petty methods used against them. Inspired by #gandhi he praised civil disobedience, with the same strength of the blackpanther and with the same purity of a white dove, he asked us all to unite, blacks and whites, in an inclusive fight for the respect of rights and freedom. The strength of this man and his cry has always struck me, his voice has become our voice, his dream has become our dream, beyond borders. This artwork that mixes pop, cartoon and Dalì-style surrealism is my way of paying homage to MLK , his dream and all the people who still fight today to make it real.
