ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The theme of this work is abandoned buildings and derelict dwellings. this is the third of three paintings, based on the window of an old cottage in Connemara, (Galway, Ireland). This is the window seen from the outside. The net-curtain is quintessential rural Ireland. Nature is slowly reasserting itself on this abandoned cottage - taking hold and establishing itself both inside and outside the window.
