Starting with Derrida's phrase, "There is no outside text.",I begin a pictorial drift, a personal journey. No matter how much the being is structured in its individuality, no matter how much it tries to isolate itself from the world, in a titanic effort of self-affirmation, it remains translucent an...

Born in Mortsel (Belgium), I emigrated with my family to Spain at the age of ten. Since then, I have lived mainly in Catalonia, currently living in a small town in Alt Penedès. I trained as an agricultural technical engineer first to then train as a psychologist. At present I dedicate myself mainly to painting, psychological astrology and fatherhood. Painting has been with me since childhood, having artists in my family. At the age of 33 is when I really decided to take the path of art, being a self-taught painter. I paint for sixteen years without showing my work until I finally decide that it has enough quality and volume to go out into the world. Since then, my career has not stopped evolving, making constant change and exploration a work philosophy. The pictorial and discursive coherence is a consequence of the work itself. I live in the countryside, dedicated to my family, my animals, and my two passions, art and astrology. The solitude of the painting studio is the world in which I create and build my work. I have little interest in the mundane noise that generally surrounds artistic careers. And because of this, I can develop and mature as an artist with a considerable consistent production. I move in the field of intent. Attempt of knowledge, of freedom, of sincerity, of truth. Art, the attempt at art, allows me to try again and again, stretching out time with benevolent frustration, without having to lie to myself, without having to lie to you. Art can not lie, without wanting to impose itself as truth. In the incessant repetition of the different, in the pictorial fact, I can rest by disappearing from myself, giving way to the mystery that is also painting.
