E Pluribus Unum: A Woman's Work Is Never Done Print

I made this in the wake of the attacks on the US Capitol, January 6, 2021. I, like so many of us, was in such anger, disbelieve, grief, that fellow American citizens would rather follow the egregious lies of a sociopathic, despot wannabe, and attack the very fabric that makes our country precious. Creating it was a way to process the intensity of my feelings. I could document the event while also expressing the confidence that justice and the fundamental goodness of the American people and our institutions, while not perfect, would prevail. The woman/deity in the upper left represents all the great qualities of our system & our people; justice, love/compassion, strength, freedom, beauty, & the indefatigable spirit to recognize our mistakes, clean them up, & continue to learn and grow for the benefit of future generations. Two days ago, May 30, 2024 proved that we still have the rule of law, and ordinary citizens who still can discern the just from the criminal.
