Representation of a night spent at a jazz club. I've always been intrigued by the contrasting image of black and white piano keys and wanted to capture the rhythm in jazz music and how improvisation comes instantly in the mind and is translated to the piano.

My approach to painting and collage work is intuitive. I don’t start with a sketch, I just start. A Zen-like approach, allowing an energy to be expressed in my work that the rational mind tends to compromise. My creative successes and failures are measured by how well “I” get out of the way. It’s my belief that the viewer intuits this energy and intent, adding to the enjoyment of the piece. In 2019 I committed myself full time to painting and collage work as an antidote to the business world.
