This site is organised in as follows: 'Artworks' displays a random selection of my paintings and drawings. 'Collections' displays my work in different sections such as Landscapes, The Human Form, Still Lives and Drawings etc., (click on "view all"). Brief Bio and artists statement: I was born in London in 1949 where I lived for 30 years. In 1979 I moved to Sydney, Australia. Presently I live in Kiama, New South Wales. I hold both British and Australian citizenship. I have an extensive background in art having commenced professional studies in 1974. Between 1980 and 2009 I was employed full-time at a Technical & Further Education art school as a teacher of fine arts. A Doctorate of Creative Arts was conferred by the University of Wollongong in 1997 (link: ). The major part of my practice has been painting with watercolours and oils. Subject matter includes landscape, portraiture, life drawing and still life. The landscapes are often completed on location. I enjoy being in the environment and interpreting it live. The challenge and compositional problems presented in the transfer of energies stimulates and gives substance to my studio work.
