This little aluminum teapot has been around the studio for a while now. I had been thinking and toying around with a larger composition for it. But I just seemed to keep coming back to the simple statement of the pot.

The unique shape and great surface gives this little object a lot of character. That's what influenced me to pick it up at a yard sale in the first place, so I figure I need to go with that first impression.

The only way to evolve as a painter is to recognize those first impressions, that initial inspiration that made you say, this I must paint.

"Paint a little less of the facts, and a little more of the spirit."
--Harvey Thomas Dunn (1884-1952)

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Painter / Artist I describe my work as realism, because I am interested in depicting the subjects I choose to paint, as I see them in nature. I am fascinated by the way things look, painting for me is about seeing, to spend time with something so that I can really begin to see it and explain the subject with as much clarity as I can. It forces me to study and understand a thing or an idea and observing those things that might otherwise might be overlooked. I hope to seduce the viewer into the painting and if they meditate on it for a while, they may discover deeper, more specific layers of meaning.
