Australian Flowers in Parrot Vase on Pink after Matisse Framed Painting

Painted on a 16x16 square board with an attached pale wood frame, this composition features a bouquet of Australian native florals (also South African and Hawaiian flowers, curiously and magically) in a parrot vase styled after stained glass work. The flowers include bright fuchsia or magenta proteas, lovely creamy ocher banksias, gorgeous green, orange, red, and blue birds of paradise (or strelitzias as they are called at home in South Africa) and playfully squared eucalyptus leaves to carry the stained-glass theme throughout the work. The background is painted in my signature thickly applied soft peachy pink. It will ship, lovingly wrapped in layers of glassine and padding, in a box from my East Bay home studio.
