Featured in Saatchi Art collections and catalog, Michelle Louis is a full-time painter based near Madison, Wisconsin. Her work has been in numerous exhibitions, and included in corporate, public, and private collections throughout the United States and abroad, including the National Gallery of Costa Rica. "Artist and naturalist, I'm curious about how nature inspires awe, how we feel it deep in our bones, how to express that connection, and what we can learn from it. My work explores balance and connection in a complex world. Celebrating and confronting Nature and transience through form and movement, I want to show you how Nature and time constantly expand and contract all around us, eliciting a sense of awe, urgency, and wonder. I hope my work serves as a reminder to be receptive to beauty and mystery.
