Spontaneous realism / portraits / colorful vibes Art is not supposed to be perfect – it’s supposed to be bold. Powerful. Present. I started painting in a time when I needed days for myself. It gave me just that: time. Seconds, minutes, hours of silence and colour – when there was no one there, no one was talking, no one was moving. It was just silence. Painting made me realize I needed that, above all. I was never a very `colorful` girl, to be precise. Funny how art makes you discover things about yourself, isn’t it? I have a very good friend, an amazing professional artist, and he was the one who noticed this in the first place. And he told me something: `You know, good art, true art is never about knowledge or rules, or shapes, colors or perspective. True art is about giving something. In good art, you can not lie. You can show anything you want to the world, you can say anything you want, but at some point, on that canvas, the real YOU will appear. This is what makes art good: a piece of your soul.` So art is more than a way to express yourself. It’s a way to discover yourself. Today, I am still discovering, still searching, still loving this amazing journey. It’s not even about a destination! At every point, at every level, with every painting, I see something new – How bold can I be? How intuitive? How excited? What am I afraid of? What am I comfortable with? How do I see the world? And with every colour, I realize that I can’t lie. It’s just me. A girl who loves books, cigarettes, autumn rainy nights, a good bottle of wine and the company of dogs and cats. A girl who, like Johnny, prefers to dress in black. A girl who trusts love, above all. Honestly? I’m just another girl with a big mouth, a big canvas and way more attitude that people are comfortable with. Welcome to my bold, colorful, unrealistic world!
