Making art is one of the few areas in life where one can truly be free to express the full range of the human experience. I paint enigmatic scenes in oils that convey my insights about people. These scenes focus on relationships or introspection within the context of a daily existence. My work depicts the instant that when caught unaware, subjects reveal more about themselves than they realize, or that they might not want anyone to know. The moment becomes an analogy to understand those experiences that shape our lives. After a long hiatus while working in the non profit sector, I returned to painting. When a student, Conceptualism was a dominant art form. My current work, while in the realist form relies upon a concept as the basis for a painting. Since my return to painting, I have produced a body of work that reflects my objectives, examples of which are represented on my website.
